Iconic Foods Beloved Only by Baby Boomers

Molded Liver Pates

It sounds crazy and strange to think that someone would eat liver pate. We know that liver is one of the superfoods that are good for you. It helps the immune system, is a great source of protein, and is a great source of iron and vitamin B12. The problem isn't that Boomers eat liver. The problem is with how they cook and serve it. Molded liver pate is more than just liver. It is a mix of liver, mayonnaise, sausage, and gelatin that doesn't taste like anything. Just knowing what goes into making molded liver pate is enough to make us not want it anymore.

But Boomers have refused to let this meal go. We'd like to know why they like this dish, but as long as no one is brave enough to give us molded liver paste, we're fine.

Weenie Sauce

You might find a strange meal and wonder how someone thought of it. How much free time would someone need to think of mixing grape jelly and barbecue sauce? Why would anyone think that's a good idea? And why do Boomers love this horrible food so much? Why don't they enjoy the finer things in life? Why do they keep eating horrible things and doing strange things to their food? We have a lot of questions.

One thing we know about a lot of Baby Boomers is that they don't like to change. They've been eating these strange foods for a long time and don't want to stop.

Schwan's Foods

It's clear that food is the biggest difference between the two generations. People born between 1946 and 1964 like one type, while people born after 1980 like another. One strange thing about Boomers is that they love Schwan's Foods. The food company has a range of frozen meals that can be delivered right to your door. And we know that Boomers would rather have things that are easy than anything else. Schwan's Co. has been around since 1966, when it first sold frozen pizza. Also, they're one of the brands that Boomers can't live without.

It sounds great to have your food delivered to you, but we'd rather buy fresh, unprocessed foods. Pizza that has been frozen? No, thanks. We'd be happy to get a new slice of pizza from the local pizzeria any day.

Meat Pate

If there were a group of disgusting, unappetizing foods, meat pate would fit right in. This food, like the other bad foods in this article, is popular with Baby Boomers. Meat pate is a paste with meat in it that is usually served at special holiday cookouts. No matter how we look at it, this dish doesn't make sense. The quality of the chef can make pate taste great.

It should be against the law to turn pate into this strange-looking loaf. No one should have ever let the person who made meat pate near a kitchen. How can anyone eat this?

TV Dinners

For a lot of Boomers, the dream and goal for each day was to be able to quickly make a meal for family and friends. And it makes perfect sense. People liked TV dinners, which are also called frozen meals, because they were easy to make and had everything they needed. Boomers liked the idea of buying a whole meal at once. They didn't have to deal with the trouble of spending a lot of time preparing and cooking their meals because of TV dinners.

But TV dinners, like some other foods on this list, have a downside. Boomers grew up eating them, and we can only hope they've had enough of them.

Chain Restaurants

We have to admit that we like the idea of having the same restaurants in every city. Customers get to know these restaurants and their menus. They also have some good food at a fair price. But if you forget how familiar and comfortable they are for a second, you'll see that the food isn't that great. Chain restaurants' main goal is to make more money and sell more food. Being good at cooking is not the most important thing.

The food might not be too expensive, but it's usually not healthy enough. You don't trust us? Look at the nutrition facts for the food at Applebee's.
