Rules Duchess Kate Middleton Has to Follow
When the Monarchs Finish Eating, so Must the Duchess
Sticking with the theme of manners at the table, the Royal family also cares a lot about when you eat. Everyone must put down their forks and knives when the Queen or King is done eating. You can only hope that by that time you have already eaten your whole meal because you can't pick up your forks again.
Jeans Are Usually Not Allowed
It almost seems wrong to think about seeing members of the Royal family in jeans. It makes sense that they shouldn't be worn most of the time, especially when they are in public or at a formal event. They aren't allowed in the Royal Box at Wimbledon either because they are thought to be too casual. But Meghan Markle didn't seem to care much about the rules and wore whatever she wanted at Wimbledon.
She Has to Know the Secret Handshake and Signals
The Royal family doesn't really have a secret handshake, but they do have something like it. They have to shake hands with people in a very specific way. They can't just shake hands firmly. There are rules about how long and how much eye contact you can make. The royals can also send secret messages to the people around them in a lot of different ways.
Wedge Shoes Are Frowned Upon
This strange rule that Kate Middleton has to follow isn't proven to be true, but it seems like it is. A lot of people say that the Queen didn't like wedge heels, so no one is allowed to wear them around her. The Duchess may have followed this rule when she was with the Queen, but she didn't feel the need to do so when the Queen wasn't there.
Kate Always Has to Accept the Gifts Given to Her
This rule might not be the worst one on this list, though. After all, who would complain about having to take all the gifts someone gives them? Kate Middleton, and any other member of the Royal Family, has to accept any gift that is given to them by the people. We hope that no one tries to give them a dangerous gift that they have to take.
She Is Not Allowed to Take Selfies
Have you ever thought about why you never see any candid or selfie pictures of the Royal family? Well, it's likely because they aren't allowed to take selfies, at least not in a technical sense. It might seem like a strange rule to have to follow, but maybe it just means they can't take selfies and share them with the world. So don't ever ask a member of the Royal family to take a picture with you.
